Of course Samsung makes much more than Google from mobile. It's been pointed out many times that Google makes almost nothing from Android, they dont need to either.

I would hardly say it's over for Android though. It would take a lot for that to happen.

From what I gather, the article is talking about the terms that people are using in social media, conversation, etc.
Instead of "Android," people are starting to say and use "Galaxy" as its' replacement.

As in, "Hey, dude. I just bought one of them new-fangled Galaxy phones because I don't like Apple's stuff."

Its kind of the same way when android first started really taking off and the droid commercials were everywhere. I was working at AT&T at the time and majority of customers I helped were asking about the droid phones.
