Like it was three years ago when i bought my first android phone the sony ericsson xperia x10 mini pro, the i bought the xperia x8 whuch i have now. At the time it was popular that android has announced its newest version 2.3 gingerbread, I was expecting that my phone would get an update but it didn't know what was the problem . At that time I didn't know about the android OUTDATE the 18 month support cycle that your phone is capable to update to a newer version in 18 months time otherwise if the version is released after those months your phone is dead.
So my question is does the android version outdate has something to do with the CPU OF THE PHONE ?
For an example I want to buy a phone for my birthday (June 5 ), if I buy the Sony Xperia z it has a snapdragon s4 pro CPU ( a last year CPU ) but the s4 and the htc ine have the newer snapdragon 600 CPU . So I am concerned about the android support cycle, becasu th htc one x, one s, the galaxy s2 will end with jelly bean 4.2.2. I will get the Sony z but will it die with his rivals the s4 and the one?
