Android Line app storage problem.

My wife has a Galaxy S8. Her Line chats are using 20 GB of device storage. The phone only has 32 GB. She has deleted tons of large videos from Line chats but the Line storage size hasn't changed. What can I do?

Her chats are all in Thai, which I can't read so it's hard for me to figure this out but I know that when she deleted all those video's that storage should have gone down.

Her phone software, including the Line app, are up to date.
Correction: Line cannot be updated, update does not complete.
