(Android) Messages "Unsupported File" Group Text

Yesterday I received a group text on Messages using my Pixel 3, but the format is strange, and I've never seen this happen before. The "group" is only listed under one number (I assume the one that created the group) and is giving me an error message. I am almost positive this came from an iPhone, so could that be the reason? (refer to picture)

Probably because it's iPhone users. Another reason I use textra instead. I hardly have issues with group texting to iPhone users with textra. Whenever I go back to stock messaging app just to try it. I get got kinds of issues with group messaging with iPhone users. Messaging getting delayed, or come as individual text, and then back group.

This looks similar to when someone sends you a TM with a contact attached (that you can import into your own Contacts list), but in this case it's a group of contacts and the formatting of that group is unrecognized. I'd agree that it likely came from an iPhone user and that may have something to do with the issue.
