Android Newby with Galaxy Nexus

Hi,

This is Bikram Agarwal. I got my first smart phone, The Galaxy Nexus, just last week. Been seeing all the smartphone goodies all my life, and envying them. Now I have a phone that let's me enjoy them.

I am thinking whether to root/unlock/flush my device or not. What are the pros and cons? Is "voids warraty" really a big issue? I never had to make a warranty claim in the past with my old phones... And if I finally take the plunge, which ROM should I try out?
