Android Noob/Thanks/Question

Hey guys, I just signed on to Verizon a couple of weeks ago, coming from Tmo with a Blackberry 8900. Originally went with the Droid 2, but once I saw the Fascinate, I had to have it. Made the switch, and I couldn't be happier with my phone. I don't think I've been this happy with one in a long time, actually. I also wanted to thank the posters on this forum for all the tips and suggestions as far as rooting goes. I installed Launcher Pro and rooted yesterday. The immediate speed increase is amazing. My question is, I can't get Root Explorer for a little while yet, but I do have Astro. The thing is, I can't get Astro to browse anything but the SD card. Is there a way around that? Let me know.

I think "OI file manager" will let you browse everything, but it won't function with root permissions. So you can browse, just not do anything else.

I'm sure there's some free alternative to root explorer out there, I just never bothered to find it. Root Explorer also has an optional SQLite plug-in, for an extra fee, if you're interested in browsing system databases from the display.
