Android Nougat -- Gallery Question

[AC Question]

After the 7.0 Update, I cannot add albums in Gallery. I follow the steps, but the album is never created.

What do I need to do?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Are you talking about the stock Gallery app, or the Google Photos app?

You take a picture with camera. Open gallery, tap three dots in top right corner, select create new album, choose a name, then you have to pick a photo to put into the album! Tap on the one you just took and it will create the album and put that pic into it...

The albums you have created are probably there, but they do not show up in the gallery unless there are actually photos in them.

I got it!

I suppose that I was too accustomed to how Folders work on my PC, and that I could create one, then move files to it...it has to happen at the Photo level, where it gets assigned to an album.

Yes, now if you want you can use the MyFile file manager to move photos to those new folders and then the albums will show up with stuff in them.

Upgraded to nougat today and all gallery albums have no titles?
