Android Nougat on the Honor 8

With a a guaranteed two-year update support cycle, the Honor 8 has been guaranteed to get Android Nougat. Now the question of Android O is in the air.

It would be cool if it gets O but it seems like Android phones usually get 1-2 updates. It would be cool if it does.

Guaranteed updates... but it can take them a long time to push out the next version of Android, as with most manufacturers... It takes anywhere from 1 month to a year to update to the next version of Android.

If the ROM community is healthy, maybe the Honor 8 can get updates and O after the proposed 24 months.

Yeah, and EMUI 5.0 is something to look forward to, as well.

I'm really looking forward to seeing CyanogenMod on the Honor 8, but I'll probably stay on stock for the fingerprint gestures

I would say 50/50 on whether or not it will get "O" officially.
