Granted my desired use of Android is probably not mainstream at all. What I'd like to do is use a 'smart TV' (with Android OS) as a HOME CENTER. I'd love to be able to use a wall mounted screen to display -
1) calendar for appointments/holidays
2) contacts lists
3) App downloads via USB/wifi
4) (text/PDF) file storage for reference viewing
5) App home databases access for reference/updating
6) App shopping lists
I've tried searching on 'android smart tvs' / forums but those are only entertainment oriented. And this forum - while about the android OS - is tablet/phone oriented. Why can't and isn't the android OS more 'cross device' friendly?
(and if it is, link references would be greatly appreciated!!)
