Has anyone noticed unusually high Android OS battery usage on their Nexus?
I previously owned a DroidX and Fascinate, they are both gone/deactivated now so I can't post exact evidence. But, I want to say that both of these phones, after a full days worth of use would have Android OS battery use in the ~25-30% range at most. The largest battery use culprit on these phones was the screen and cell idle/standby.
After using my Nexus for a few days of very light use (just sitting on my desk idle for most of the day) Android OS ends up using probably 55-60% of the battery throughout the course of the day. Display is usually second with ~25% of the battery. Then cell idle/standby and various other small apps are using the rest.
It seems like Android OS uses a lot more of a percentage of the battery in Ice Cream Sandwich than it did in Gingerbread. I haven't looked at these stats on my honeycomb tablet, maybe honeycomb exhibits the same behavior.
