My phone was on 4.1 and i upgraded it to 5 a week ago

I have data saver on
I have removed all custom application
I have "keep mobile data on when sleeping" in the battery setting to OFF
I did a cache wipe
I have tried to turn off all and every setting that could use data

Android OS still use data...

anyone know what is going on?

Yeah, I've been experiencing that too.
I literally turn off data, 4g, gps, wifi, and also the keep mobile data on when sleeping off
but over the night, my honor uses like.. 30% of battery for some reason,
I really don't understand.
All app usages are < 1amh, so calculation doens't make sense to use up almost 30%.
Google+ and Hangout turns on for some reason as well, but other than that,
I just don't see why it uses so much battery
Also, the Wifi and Mobile Data bar in the battery management is just always on.
So,, yeah No idea what the problem could be

Likewise. Just did a factory reset and early returns are promising for battery life, but it's only been a day. I'll let you know if it really does improve battery life, in case that's something you all would consider.

Has the exact same issue. I went into mobile data under settings.

Painfully I went through all apps under data and LTE usage and made sure only wifi could access. You have to select each item and scroll down to see what each app is using data wise. Google mail has mobile/background and roaming. I turned off all three and did the same for Google fit and so on. Why is each app set to roam is beyond me.

Once I did this I rebooted my phone and checked the settings. Since then my data usage has dropped a ton. I was using 7 to 11 MB per day plugged in at home on wifi. That's crazy. Now I'm using about 850kb to 1MB a little higher to 3MB is I leave the house. Hope this helps. You may have already done this but who knows it may help.
