Looks like the always leaking Evan Blass says August 20th will be the Android P official release date. Thoughts?

Have not been testing it, so no idea what it consists of. If true, I look forward to getting it. In keeping with the "sweets" theme, I say "P" will be PIXEL. What is sweeter than a Pixel?

I assume minor behind the scenes, bug fixes, polish to UI stuff, etc. Nothing major.

Well, while I haven't tried the Beta, I think this is a significant moment for Android. Big changes with a very familiar and consistent UI. I'm both excited and a little apprehensive as the final release edges closer.

August 20th release will stay fairly consistent with O and N, so it's good they've got things refined to set proper expectations.

I wish they'd bring back solid icons for things like the sound setting or the cog for setting or the pencil for toggle edits. I'm not a fan of the hollow look for those things...

It hasn't bothered me really. Took me a little to get used to the VPN symbol but that's it.

I wish they'd bring back solid icons for things like the sound setting or the cog for setting or the pencil for toggle edits. I'm not a fan of the hollow look for those things...
