Essential Beta 1 (actually DP3) including June security patches here on my PH-1. Battery life seems better than Oreo 8.1. I like the gestures and particularly the card view for previous apps. Shades of WebOS.

But, the only really annoying problem I have encountered is with the Wells Fargo banking app which will not allow mobile deposits or any type of transfer between accounts. This is probably a WF problem and not an Essential problem as WF had been fine on 5.02, 6.0, 7.1, and 8.1. I had to use my old tablet running 5.02 in order to do a transfer. Since I initially had the problem while trying to do a mobile deposit (no photo of check working) I thought it maybe was a camera problem since I had just installed another update to the Essential camera. But, when a transfer between accounts failed I now believe it's a WF problem.Maybe the WF app does some kind of Android version check or similar.
