Just wanted to start a thread for everyone to chime in.....
I have never purchased any apple product in my life other than the very first IPod....
I think that since there are so many different device companies (Samsung, HTC, Etc...)
Google has to jump in and create some form of uniformity before it all falls to pieces....
I personally feel that the OS updates (Jelly Bean etc...) should be withheld until it can be rolled to all devices.....
I own a HTC Rezound and I feel slighted because of other devices getting the OS first, but also development for apps stagger and become watered-down....
If you look at apps 90% of them lose functionality and stability from each update...then the app developers aren't inclined to make updates because of the OS changing so much from device to device.....
I finally understand the draw of apple because I just opened my own business and the development of a secure app for my products and services are easier and the updates are timely.....
I am not exactly sure what the answer is.....but I know that these are the problems
1. Multiple devices rolling out with different operating systems all at different times....
2. Older devices not getting updated OS even with the capabilities
3. App development lagging behind because of the OS being too fluid for strong builds to occur
It is almost making me feel like I have to buy and sell my android on ebay every six months to avoid waiting another 6 months for updates......
I think I was ranting, but I don't want to get rid of this Rezound ....
I now know why most businesses make there I apps first than Android apps 2nd
anyone have better answers /
thx
richtree
