Last week my father's Pixel 6a screen suddenly went to this. If I select "Try Again" the phone would boot up, but would constantly keep restarting and eventually go back to this screen. I eventually did "Factory data reset" and restored his settings, contacts, photos, etc from the Google backup. The phone then worked perfectly for a week, and then yesterday he got this screen again. I did the reset again and it's working again for the time being.

I'm unsure if he accidentally did something or pressed something that could be causing this, or if the phone is just on the fritz. Any thoughts or ideas? Thank you!!

Sounds like a OTA update is trying install itself but failing constantly. Have you recieved any OTA updates?

When it did it a week ago I checked for updates and there was a security update that installed. So when that was finished I did a backup and did the factory reset. So it worked fine for a week and then did this again yesterday. Did the factory reset again and did the restore, checked for any updates just for good measure and it said there were none.

Welcome to Android Central! You may need to try reflashing the stock firmware: https://developers.google.com/android/ota

Thank you for this information! I will attempt this if the issue comes up again. And just so I'm understanding correctly, when I find the Pixel 6a there are a couple of dozen files to choose from. The very last one on the list is screenshot below, and I notice the numbers match exactly to the error I'm getting (BP1A.250405.007). Does this mean that this is the file I'd want to use, or would I want to grab a prior file?
