Android showing full conversation in text message notification

Hello. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 Active and ever since the last update, my text message notification shows the whole conversation I'm having with the other person instead of showing just the new message, and disappearing after I reply or mark as read. The text notification icon will remain until I swipe it away now. For an example of what I'm talking about, click the link https://ibb.co/tm0vBjf

I've seen other people having issues before but I can't find a solution to this. Thanks.
