Android SMS app

I've been using chomp sms for my other phone but when i downloaded it for my zenphone, messages don't show up. Can someone recommend an alternative sms app? I love chomp sms for its simplicity. Also does anyone know an sms app with lock? Thanks!

Well, I would say you can try using Handcent SMS I found it quite interesting I must say and for locking it down you can use some other third party apps to lock your apps down try searching for app locker over playstore there are just a bulk of them available to test out !
