It looks like I can download google photos, contacts and calendar app and backup my info to those three apps so all I would use smart switch for is music and apps

Does that sound right?

I believe smart switch will transfer most of all your settings as well. It will even transfer your home screen and It might even transfer your call log and messages over too. Quite useful.

Yea I think I’ll stick with that. This was good for contacts and calendar but terrible for photos. Didn’t even transfer 1/3rd of them

Yeah I like to do things manually by copying everything that I have on my phone to my PC then back to my phone and setting all apps from scratch. I don't trust these Smart Switch things

It's so much easier to use a backup or smart switch but I kinda like to take the opportunity to clean house every couple years. Surprising how many apps you don't even remember loading or using.

It's better and faster than going through Google imo. The only reason that I don't do my entire phone is because I don't want to spend all day at the AT&T store

So is switch the best out there? The person at Verizon they use something else can't remember what.
Should do it myself or let them do it?

I don't know about best, but it is one of the easiest methods that I have used.

Does any info go to a cloud or is it strictly phone to phone. I have some personal stuff I don't want clouded anywhere. It's actually client personal info.
