It vastly improved my battery life on my Edge. The built-in Doze function doesn't work if you are moving around. This app gives you better control

As chanchan05 said, Greenify is great for this.

With Greenify, you can also enable doze to kick in after a few minutes regardless of motion by plugging into a PC and using the command prompt/ADB to enable. No root required.
