android thrive tablet camera error

I just got my android thrive tablet 5 days ago. I opened the camera the day I got the tablet and took a couple of pictures, everything was fine. My daughter in law went into labor, so i thought I would take my tablet to take pictures. I got one picture when I got a black screen with a camera error "can't connect to camera". Luckily I had my good camera with me and managed to get pics of my grand son being born. Can anyone give me advise on this error?

Did you try rebooting the tablet? If so and that didn't work, try clearing cache/data on the camera in manage apps.
