Guys,

On Android TV, I have been trying to use many media players to stream video and music files stored on my network and play them one after another, so when the the video/ song comes to an end, the player plays the next one in the folder (based on file or date).

I wasn't sure if this is a feature related to the file browse used ( I use FX file browser for android) or to the media player.

I have tried few media player hoping i can find an option to use this (as simple as it sounds and without any workarounds), but I couldn't figure this out. Anyone could recommend a media player that could do that on Android?

I currently use VLC to play one file at a time and its great in streaming these files from the network. Its one of 2 video players that can stream promptly from the network without delays, but the sequential file playing is no where to be found in VLC or the file browser.

No need for all that. Report the post, asking someone to change the owner (which I did) and move the thread (which I did).

Neither file browsers nor VLC play playlists, but there are media players that do. Look in the play store. (If it's an Android TV, you should be able to run any Android app in it.)

Reporting the post was the only possible option I could find to resolve this issue as I don't want to replicate posts. I just became a member in this forum and I couldn't find the an option other than that (for none registered user) to delete or change the owner.

FYI - VLC Plays and creates playlists, however, this is not what I am asking about. Its not the playlists I am looking to have here, I thought I couldn't make my questions any simpler.

I am not sure if my question was read or understood properly.... In Android TV, open a folder which has many video or audio files, click on any file, once it finishes, it should play the next one in the folder, either based on the sequential name or date.

This feature is available on Windows easily and almost by default for most media players. hence I am looking for something similar but on Android TV.
