Today Google announced Android wear 2.0. You can get it on current watches with a developer preview. I am really interested in doing this, the new features sound pretty great. If I do this is it similar to rooting where it will void my warranty? Also do you know of any issues with this? Can I always just factory reset it and then get marshmallow back on?
I'm kinda new to this stuff
Thank you

Pretty much this is a pre release "testing" version of the software... it's not perfect, it most likely has bugs, issues, etc. It's really not meant for the average consumer to install and play with on their personal device (not used for development of any kind). You could brick your watch or make it pretty unusable.

Also, this *will* almost definitely void your warranty... the Android Wear developers site pretty much says so here: https://developer.android.com/wear/preview/downloads.html#set_up_a_watch

With all that said, if you still want to try it... more power to ya! You will need a supported watch... which looks like a LG Urbane 2nd edition and the Huawei Watch are the only two yet supported. There is currently no supported AW 2.0 pre-release image for the Asus ZenWatch 2.

Next, you'll need to unlock the bootloader and flash a new image to it. The procedure and new images to do this can be found at the link above.

To switch back to a non-prerelease "stable" version of Android Wear, you will have to do the same flashing image trick again... just this time with the stable image.

Ok thanks. It suddenly doesn't sound like such a good idea
