Android Wear app settings

Okay so everyone knows that there's a setting with an Android Wear app to mute alerts and notifications on your phone when connected to your watch. With that setting on my phone still vibrates in addition to my watch. Should this be happening? I'm constantly resetting that setting and resetting my phone and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work. Is it common? Thanks.

If you go to setting on your phone, and then apps. Find the Android Wear app and clear the cache. See if that helps.
