Android Wear updates

I understand that Android wear as a platform was just released a few short months ago. However, I wanted to ask what has Google said about the pace they expect to be sending out updates adding functionality?

I believe AndroidWear 2.0 is supposed to drop by the end of this month adding more functions to the system.

Update to my above comment.... There are rumors that the next version of Android Wear will be pushed out on October 15th. The same rumors say that they might include GPS support (if your AW device supports it) and capabilities of adding a Bluetooth Headset to your watch, making it possible to store music on the watch, listen through a headset. Just speculation.
