My Samsung S6 (6.0.1) has started refusing to send SMS to any number not in my contacts, any contact I add, or any number I add manually. When I try to send something in this way, the 'Messages' app crashes.
I have tried force stopping the app, restarting the device, searching for updates, and using a third party SMS app, chompSMS, which has exactly the same issue. I type or point to the number, I write any text, and any app crashes with an error box. It sends fine to anyone I've sent to before.
This makes me believe the issue is with SMS itself, or a problem with the Contacts app. What could be happening here?
