Wasn't semi-confirmed that version 2.0 of Android Wear will be released next Tuesday the 14th?

Hopefully they'll be some leaks as to what we can expect in the coming days.

My hope is they can address the ridiculous battery drain on the phone. In my testing, a nearly idle Wear watch causes over an HOUR of cpu time consumed on the phone's Wear app... and that is with no other watch apps installed and Google Now turned off. Something is very strange.

I don't find the battery drain on my S5 "ridiculous", maybe a little more draining, but nothing drastic. I'm hoping they give us the option of keeping the watch screen off and turning it on by pressing on the screen or button, basically the option to deactivate the "turn on by raising your arm" feature.

Hopefully more features will be released to get more apps out there.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue on the LG G2. The Android Wear app is consuming more battery than my screen is. Google just opened up a product support form on their website specific to Android Wear. I started a thread on this issue. Please post there so that we can gain Google's attention on this issue. Thank you.

I would, but I can't, because it requires using Gmail. If you would like to relay my information from this thread, please do: http://forums.androidcentral.com/moto-360/444869-google-wear-zapping-phone-battery-new-post.html or just reference the thread URL there so people can see any relevant info they want.

I would like to see a keyboard similar to fleksy on the gear 2. Don't understand why Google did not give us that option

Looks like 6.1.74 started rolling out yesterday so it should be on your device in the next few days. I'm still at 6.1.11 too

so it just updated by it self
