HEY anybody get angry birds rio off amazon appstore yet?they are going to give it for free download but the site is not up yet .They said it would be today but no luck so far ,anybody have better luck?:(

I just got it.

Follow the link from thefredelement and then in the box to purchase the app, go to "how buying works" and there is a QR code you can scan to install the Amazon App Store. BTW, you have to turn on 1-click purchasing for it to work.

On it like white on rice.. hehe.

I've played a few levels and then decided that I should probably wait until after work. It's pretty fun.

BTW, I've always wondered why the saying was "white on rice" and not "brown on rice" . . .

From what ever the hell I just did, which was a combination of getting a phone call, accidentlly backing out of the one click stuff, but after I logged in to amazon with my user password with my google account on my phone, I no longer was able to get to it so I simply went to amazon.com and it recognized my device and when I clicked download it did it the same as I you do it from the android market on a computer.

edit, now when i go to get the app using the web (which does not work from my phone because I did not use 1-click, it works fine and pops up in the Amazon App store under the New tab

I got it a few minutes ago. Easy app store and app install. Pretty sweet UI update on there. Looks schnazzy! Lol.

I did run into a tapatalk update issue though...seperate thread.

I downloaded this a little while ago from my brothers amazon account and now he is curious will he get charged for me downloading this?

Yea, if you used his Amazon account to sign in there will be a charge. I do believe it was only free earlier in the week. I did however get Angry Birds Seasons for free yesterday. I hadn't downloaded that one yet. Rio is very cool.... those monkeys are pissin' me off though.... LOL

I have it downloaded but it won't install. I emailed support and they replied that there was a glitch in the software on Angry Birds end but I see that some of you have downloaded and installed with no problems so now I am not so sure it isn't on my end. I haven't had any trouble with any other Angry Birds App. so I am really puzzled on what is really going on. I even unmounted my SD Card and tried installing that way like I had to do with the original Angry Birds and as soon as I installed it I mounted SD Card and it works fine but not with Rio. If anyone has any solutions or thoughts please reply. I could use the help!!

This might solve your problem ... I had the same issues as you and this resolved them completely.

Why do people use the Amazon App store. Angry Birds Rio is available for free from the app market. Just get the QR code from the article here on Android Central. First, I tried to search in the market and it didn't show up. However, if you use Google Goggles or any other QR code reader, it will take you to the market download... for FREE. Happy Gaming!

I use the Amazon app store for the free daily apps. Like today, for Soundhound. Don't see what's wrong with that.

The reason for using the Amazon app store for Angry Birds Rio, was because it was exclusive to the Amazon app store for a period of time. Now it is available from the Market for free, and you don't need a QR code. Just search the Market for Angry Birds Rio, and scroll down to the bottom of the page......

Well when you go to the amazon store it still says its free so if its not and my brother got charged with that then something is wrong with the site
