The only drawback to this $865 Animated GIF Machine (relax just kidding) is that I see no way to automatically reduce the resulting file size to enable the sending of animated GIFs via MMS. I did not try recording source video lower than HD however it seems to me that regardless of the quality of source video it would have been nice to add a feature to limit the file size of GIFs to easily text GIFs.

You can? I recorded HD video and during playback via Gallery through Video Player there is an animated GIF icon. Pressing that makes an animated GIF without any configuration options. Am I missing something?

Google messenger let's you send them but they come up super tiny. Hand cent SMS let's u send them and it shows up the size of an average video.

Remember, MMS is severely limited. It might me best to start using message/chat apps instead of SMS and MMS.

@Stealthieone I do see that option (which I didn't know existed before your post actually) however I was creating the GIF differently. I was playing the video I recorded via Video Player and there is an icon during playback to create an animated GIF and there is no option that way. I tried it your way and the resulting file size was still to large (max is 1.2MB for Verizon MMS files).

I'll check out those other apps. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm on tmobile and my message app says it's too big but sends it anyway. And it was received... 1.2 seems ridiculously small
