Anker just announced a new "Super Fast Wireless Charger" for S9, S9+, Note 8 & iPhoneX.
Problem is it takes around 2:40 - 3hrs for this "Super Fast Wireless Charger" to fully charge the phones.
Given a fast wire charger can charge a phone in 1:15hrs this seems very slooooow.
I understand wireless is a little more convenient to place your phone on a pad/stand if it it not overly sensitive to the positioning and it won't where out the connector port, but almost double the time to charge?
Also, the Fast wire charger and cable from Samsung is much cheaper to purchase and I can use the phone more while it charges by wire, at my desk, on the couch or even lying in bed, just pick up the phone with wire attached and use it.
Am I missing something about the value proposition of wireless charging? I love the idea of wireless charging but it seems to have a ways to go in order to make it really valuable to an end user?
