To begin with, Anker provided me this SoundCore in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The speaker itself has a nice look and feel to it. The sides and back use a nice soft touch plastic and the grill on the front seems to be a pretty durable type of metal. It also has a nice weight to it, not too light but not too heavy either. The plastic does attract grease and smudges, though.

When I received the item, which was on a friday, I used it to play music for a couple hours that night and a couple the next day, and have currently been playing music on it for about an hour today as of the time of this review and it still has well over half battery. Currently, I've had it for about a week. The battery seemed to have been around 75-50% charge when I received it, and haven't charged it yet. I've used it for about 30 minutes to an hour every morning, and occasionally for an hour or two on a couple of those days, and it's kept its charge very well. As far as I've been able to tell the battery hasn't gotten near 25% yet. Battery so far has been phenomenal, which Anker advertises as 24 hour battery life.

The audio quality is pretty impressive as well. Most of what I've listened to has been rock/metal, with a little bit of bass-heavy music to test out bass. The bass-heavy music did sound better, however all of the music that I listened to sounded crisp and clear, and was very enjoyable to listen on. I also linked it up to my laptop and used it to add more sound to the TV shows I was watching, because my laptop's speakers don't get very loud, and everything sounded fantastic to me.

I still haven't fully tried testing how far the bluetooth with actually reach, but I was able to be about 25ft from the speaker and still have it playing.

Overall,I would recommend this speaker to pretty much anyone looking for a bluetooth speaker. I would also definitely buy this speaker if I hadn't been provided it. It's a solid speaker at fantastic price with great sound. It's priced at $40 on Amazon.

I wanted to provide my review for the Anker SoundCore as well so for the sake of organization, I will post it within this thread:

Anker gave me the opportunity to test this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I must say, I am extremely impressed so far over the past week of using it. This is Anker's newest bluetooth speaker - the Anker SoundCore AK-A3102011. Like all Anker products, the packaging is very well made and in the box were instructions, a USB charging cable, and the unit itself. The speaker is light, easily portable, has very nicely designed buttons on the top which are clear and extremely simple to use. Pairing with my HTC One Android Smartphone was simple as well as my Lenovo Tablet. I have not had any dropped connections or bluetooth issues. Battery life has been phenomenal! It truly does last over a full day of use. It's refreshing for a product to have such excellent battery life and not need to be charged constantly. In terms of design, the SoundCore is refined and professional looking with an all-black finish and the logo on the front. It feels sturdy and does not vibrate or slide during use, which is great. Last, but certainly not least, sound quality is incredible! I've had a wide variety of bluetooth speakers and typically the sound is muffled or low in volume or distorts at high levels. But the SoundCore truly sounds excellent - crisp highs, solid bass response, and clear vocals. Volume can reach a powerful level to fill an entire room with plenty of sound and a nice surround sound feel. Overall, I highly recommend this bluetooth speaker! The additional 18-month warranty provided by Anker also is reassuring that the product is made to last.
