Announcing SMS messages?

I upgraded from the S5 to the S7 Edge. On the 5, I had it set to announce when I got a call or text message from my contacts. I can't find out how to do this on the S7 Edge without a 3rd party app.
I don't need it to read the SMS, just the name from who sent it. IE, "New text message from Mom"

Does anyone know?
