Hello, thank you for accepting me into the community. I've been an android user since the first Galaxy S, then around 6 months ago, upgraded to the S4. Before my Galaxy S, I was a Sony Ericsson K800i user.

Anyway, no more introductions! I've recently run into a problem with ads constantly appearing on the lock screen (LockerPro), home screen (Themer) and many apps including WhatsApp, Clean Master and Chrome (They're the only ones I've used since having this issue). I believe this came from downloading an .apk from the internet, so I can't say I don't deserve what I have, however, I still would like to get rid of this issue. I deleted the app, but the problem consisted, making me believe it left something behind, but Clean Master won't pick it up.

If you have any questions to help you understand the issue, I'd be happy to answer as best as possible.

Hello, welcome to AC! Introduce yourself in the Introductions forum here to tell everyone hi!

In the browser, does it take you to the add automatically when you open it or when visiting any website? Make sure the homepage is set to something like yahoo.com or google.com in the settings. As for the other ads, try uninstalling and re-installing the apps. You can also try installing AdBlock Plus: https://adblockplus.org

Thank you for the reply, when I click the ad, it takes me to a new tab in the browser, which unless closed, will then be opened in new tabs each time I click them. I think I should clarify, that it's always the same single ad and it always leads to that same webpage.
Quite conveniently, I did just remember, there was an update for AppDroid today, which made it impossible to use as a huge ad was covering the app. I for some reason didn't link the two together until just now, uninstalled appdroid and now, ad free. AdBlock Plus will obviously allow for some great phone browsing, so I'll take your suggestion and install that now.

Thank you for your help and welcome :)

Appdroid is an illegal app marketplace. Just letting you know.
