Annoying pop-ups

I've heard that some Galaxy S5 have the ability to manually remove the annoying pop-ups from that is suppose to remind you to keep the charging lid and the back-cover on properly at all times. I get the pop-ups so often, and it actually sometimes takes me out of what I am doing on my phone. Now that you know what I want removed, I need to tell you that rooting is not an option due to some apps that I regularly use, that is not supported with a rooted phone.
Please help me, I've actually searched for a solution for this several times with no luck. At least not anything that actually worked. Thanks in advance ;:)

Thank you for your post.

There are currently 41 different models of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and over 3,000 different stock Samsung firmware versions, worldwide, covering 6 different Android platforms, Android 4.4.2, Android 4.4.4, Android 5.0, Android 5.0.1, Android 5.0.2 and Android 5.1.1. Not all issues will affect all models or firmware releases and your answers to the following questions will help in the forum's answers to your specific query.

#1. Could you post your Model number and Android version...

To locate these, go to...

Settings > More > About device > Model number and Android version

This will give you the model of Samsung Galaxy S5 that you have and which Android version you are on.

#2. Your current Firmware, (not just Baseband), version .

To locate your current firmware version, go to the stock, Samsung, dial pad and type in...

*#1234#

This will give you your, "Version", details in full, usually 3 lines of information, AP: CP: CSC:, which may all be relevant.

*** If code *#1234# has been disabled on your firmware, you can download and install, free from the Play Store, Phone Info Samsung and it will give you, under Firmware... PDA, CSC and Baseband, versions as well as your Product code under the CSC CODE heading.

#3. Also helpful would be your carrier, (service provider), location, (UK, India, Russia, USA, etc: ).

Thanks. The above helps us to help you and hopefully someone will be able to reply to you shortly. :)

Ironass has a lot of good points about your specific version, but the short answer to your question is

NO

You cannot remove the notifications about the rear cover or charging port door unless you are ROOTED and have a custom ROM installed.

You have the international model of Galaxy S5 and you are running the latest Lollipop unbranded firmware for the Nordic Countries. The reason for checking is that there was an issue with pop-up's on early releases of Lollipop for certain carrier branded firmwares. Since these pop-up's are part and parcel of the OS, as can3gxw states, they cannot be accessed or changed without rooting. Ensure that you only use the Samsung charger that came with your phone as 3rd party chargers will generate pop-up's for safety reasons. Also, ensure that your USB port is clean and has no bent or broken pins. Lastly, try a cache partition wipe as per #1.3 of S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide to see if this solves your problem.
