Annoying Search Widget Issue

Has anyone else had this problem or know a solution?

Unrooted Droid 2.0.1

Occasionally my google search widget appears to have shifted up to flush with the status bar and when typing into it, it only shows the bottom half of letters. Then it doesn't respond when hitting the search touchscreen button.

If I just ignore it and come back later, sometimes it just fixes itself. Annoying b/c it basically makes the widget useless when this problem is present.

I have not seen or heard of this in my travels around the forums. I would assume if anything that it is an OS related.

I've also never heard of nor had this problem.

But then again, many people ditch that widget because pressing the search button pulls up a search bar for you. Or if you long press it, a voice activated search.

I've heard of some complain of that after the update. Never saw a solution though.
