Another Bolt to Dinc2 conversion -- Dinc2 is SO underrated!

I have absolutely no problems making a call when there are no bars showing.

I agree. My DINC2 (my first Android, just switched from BlackBerry last week) always shows fewer bars or reception than my Tour did, but I have had no problems with actually placing a call, and I've noticed a few times that it has shown no bars.

The only problem I've had at all is when I talk to my wife on her new Fascinate, there are times when there is a lot of background noise. We each hear the same noise, and it makes it difficult for us to hear the other person. Neither of us has experienced this issue when talking to anyone else, and it doesn't happen all the time, so I'm still trying to figure out if the problem is my phone, hers, or something entirely different. Very weird. But the actual call reception on the DINC2 has been excellent everywhere I've used it thus far.

I've had no issues with my signal and reception. I think someone on here touched on it possibly looking worse because they adjusted the algorithm for the signal display on the front of the phone. I think someone did a side by side of the DInc2 with their X and while the X showed 4 bars to the Dinc2's 1 they signal strength was the same.

I also have had zero issues with signal and I am in a rural area. I was always leary of HTC since my Eris long ago and I just wanted to try this thing for a week until maybe the X2 arrived but the size, speed and especially battery life (easily 18-24 hours with moderate use and widgets covering all screens for testing purposes) and this phone is a keeper.

It has definitely been overlooked and got no marketing because it's release was pretty much the same as the TBolt. There is 4 G service here (Charleston, WV) but it's not that important to me. Battery life and dependability are.

I purchased the Tbolt full retail on 5.7 to replace my Dinc. Was getting only 5 hours or so of battery (with 4g, 3g or wireless). Stripped down as many features as I could live with to get the phone to last through the day somewhat. Got the OTA and the thing started rebooting randomly. That was the last straw. Returned it 5.16 and got the Dinc2. With a brand new, unconditioned battery, 13 hours of up time and 50% left. Fast, snappy, feels good in the hand. 4 inch screen is the sweet spot. Verizon LTE in a phone with a puny battery - works notsomuch.
