So bit by bit I am loving my Chromebook experience. Most of what I do, can be done on it, and the very nice array of chrome extensions and app, have great added functionality for most things.
Well this week, my husbands 7 month old HP Winblows 8.1 laptop took a ****, and he had to send it back for repairs. He now is forced to used the Chromebook, and is not very good with learning new stuff. He has made some progress, and I set up his various email accounts (gmail, 2 of my domain email address, and hotmail) I used the labels and filters to have each email dropped into the appropriate box (label), but there seems to be some issue with Hotmail.
Anyone have any insight into setting up and getting hotmail to be received in the chrome gmail app?
I set it up like a regular account, went thru the verification code stuff, and assigned a label and set up a filter. But for some reason the mail is not coming in? I also saw something in the accounts set up, to "import"? mail such as hotmail. I went thru the steps, and it said something about it could take hours, up to 24 for the importing to be seen? There are only a handful of emails sitting in that account, but its still not coming into the gmail mail app/extension, or whatever its called?
Anyone have any insights, or tips on what I may be doing wrong, or how getting hotmail on the chromebook works?
