First off, I'm no techy, nor am I an old guy. Older, more mature, yeah, but stuffy and old.......... not hardly.

First computer I ever used might be in the Smithsonian right now. It was the glorius boat anchor known as the IBM 4110 Data Capture Report Generator. Ruggedized for 'field' use it was, complete with an 8" mylar floppy disc............( HOW do you 'ruggedize' an 8" floppy in dusty field conditions?). Yeah, that was a long time ago.

I am new to the Android archetecture though my son has used it for a very long time. I currently use an old Sony-Ericsson flip phone that does most things pretty well.

Here's my situation/question though. I currently have the T-Mobile 'EvenMorePlus Unlimited Text & Talk' + the 'Phone First Web' (what ever that means). I am NOT on a contract but my phone is 3G capable and I do have services like GPS, Internet, games, FM radio, Camera, etc. Pretty basic fair. I do have a use for an Android phone and would enjoy it I'm sure.

Would my current SIM work in an unbranded, unlocked Android phone? As much as I travel abroad, a contract is not cost efficient for me. My current charges are right at $70 per month.
