(another) night mode bug

Android Central: Please help me to get Samsung to recognize this bug. I've tried to contact them, but I basically get blown off.

I've tracked down what appears to be a (another) bug with the "night mode" setting on the S10+ (and likely with the S10 as well) at least using the AT&T flavor of the firmware. Some notifications (in night mode) don't display properly. I can repeat the problem with my 'nest' camera notifications and it seems to be related to notifications that contain a title, text, thumbnail and image.

Attached are two screenshots of the same notification. The first shows the nest notification when Settings->Display->Night Mode is turned on:

The second shows the same notification with "Night Mode" turned off.

(Note: The issue is only seen if "night mode" is turned on when the notification is actually received.)

As shown, the notification when 'night mode' is on comes up blank with only the thumbnail. If that "blank" notification is expanded, it displays properly.

Thanks
Gary

I use to have that issue with Good Lock quick star, do you have that enabled ?

Yes, partially. I don't use it to theme the panel, only to hide a few icons (and the "AT&T" text) on the status bar.

I'm unable to test right now if the problem goes away when I'm in night-mode and have quickstar completely disabled. On the other hand, it's still a bug in night-mode (or the "night mode theme") and it'd be really nice if Samsung would at least acknowledge a bug report from a customer after they've spent $1000 on a phone.

I would try see if this still happens with quick star disabled for a day or 2.

That did NOT resolve the issue. With night-mode ON and QuickStar OFF, the notifications are still incorrect:

What theme are you using?

Like the OP, I have the same problem with my Nest notifications. At&t S10+, stock theme & I do not have good lock installed. Very frustrating.

Ironically, just got a motion notification.

Now, when you swipe down on the notification to expand it, it looks normal. Like I said it's frustrating, but not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.

Is it only with that notification?

Try turning off or on auto reverse text color in lock screen settings - notifications to see if that makes a difference or play with transparency slider.

No theme. As mentioned in the OP, I turned on "night mode" in Settings->Display. That alone seems to be causing the problem.

What's that Tasker in your notifications panel , a plug in ?

I'd suggest checking google play for "tasker." It'd take me months to describe everything it is. For the purpose of this discussion, however, it's a persistent notification that's just telling me that my phone is connected to a specific wifi access point.

From the looks of it, @williams448 has the exact same issue and is also using night mode. williams448, try pop into Settings->Display and turn OFF night-mode. Then clear any nest notifications and cause another nest notification... I suspect it'll appear just fine then.

vader4633, this isn't on the lock screen at all. Oddly, the lock screen notifications appear fine.
