Another question about the G2, sim card

The phone came with a new sim card but they just used my old sim card... is it better to use the new one that came with the phone??? any advantages in that or no?

I live in an HSPA+ area, but internet speeds were just sluggish anyway, even slower than my old phone. I contacted T-Mo and they told me to try the new SIM, so I did.

After that I've been getting 2-7mbps.

It depends how old your sim is. If you got it with your last phone you should be fine. If you've had it for 8 years you might want to switch. They do upgrade sim card firmware and tweak designs over the years, so if yours is ancient it MAY help, you may also not notice anything.
