Answering and talking phone calls on watch.

I have the Galaxy 4 Watch. Not a standalone version. I need to be connected to my phone via Bluetooth. When I receive a call it appears on the watch and I can either decline or answer the call. However if I accept the call it goes to my phone. I want to be able to talk on the phone on my watch if my phone is in another room. I have looked and messed with various settings to no avail.

Can anyone talk me through the settings I need on my watch and phone to be able to hold a conversation on my watch?

I don't know why the call would switch to your phone. Have you tried to see if you are able to switch the call back to your watch?
As far as I know as long as your watch and phone are connected you should be good to go.
