Antivirus

This is my first android phone....

I saw there is some antivirus apps on the Google Play.

Is it recommended to have one of those? Is it risky to do not have antivirus on smartphone ?

I would recommend getting an antivirus app because androids do get viruses and malware depending on what you download from Google Play and from other things. I have and like lookout. It's a great antivirus app. Google play does have a few antivirus apps so look at them and see which one you like.
