Any chance that this thing will do voice calls?

I don't know whether I'm in the minority here, but I want to replace my phone with a 7 inch tablet. I was really sad when the galaxy tab came out with voice crippled in the US. Will the flyer offer this functionality?

Sprint is allowing you access to Google Voice though with your account, so I don't see how they can keep you from using it for voice. I was thinking about replacing my Evo with a 4G device, and this would fit the bill, it's just a shame that the Evo 3D is going to be so impressive.

My GF was all set to do this with the Galaxy Tab until we found out the US versions wouldn't have voice. I know she would be all in with the View if she could use it as a phone.

Does it have a microphone? Or bluetooth?

Anything that has a data connection can be made into a "phone". Google, voip, SIP and you can start seeing information about that kind of stuff.

Right now, I have an evo with no plan on it, and I just use wifi for calling and google voice for text messaging.

It's hard to explain the whole thing in one sitting, but just research the stuff and it's rpetty easy to do.

If there is a HUGE interest in this, I may add more information somewhere, but for now I think if you're interested it's not too hard to find the info.

Duckwars, More Discussion Please

I also would like to be on 1 device like Flyer and sell the EVO 4G. The key would be BT wrist or ear HF device. I have been carrying a Nook Color in front pocket for months and palm pilots & smart phones since 1996. Just place display side against leg. I don't mind using 3/4G.
