Any difference in battery life between Network modes CDMA vs. LTE/CDMA?

Does anyone know? I don't have 4G in my area yet, but would like to use it when I'm in areas as it becomes available. I'm wondering if leaving it on LTE/CDMA mode will drain battery faster, since it required a restart to take effect, I'm assuming there's some hardware involved.

I have the LTE/CDMA mode enabled on my S3, with no LTE here in NYC yet, and my battery life's still pretty good.

In FortWorth, and yeeeeah. Decided to switch back to 3G mode. Still plenty fast for me and my battery doesnt get murdered.

Really it only seems too drain fast when you have an lte connection. When I'm without lte it doesn't.
