Any disc checking tools available?

Windows has a scanning tool that checks and attempts to correct any hard drive errors; does Android have something similar built in or apps available do this?

Why not hook it up with your USB cable to a Windows machine, and scan the drive through Windows?

That's absolutely beautiful. I totally didn't think about that!

What's not to understand?

You shouldn't do that because windows and Android read and write data very differently. There is no way to optimize or defragment because its already optimized. You can potentially scramble the file system that's already been setup

I know defragging a flash drive can potentially do this, but I'm not suggesting a defrag- I'm suggesting scanning the partition for errors.
