Any Farmers using Verizon business?

I'm trying to get a family member set up on a business account with Verizon. He needs a lot of data, as he spends a lot of time in the field. He uses about 20gb a month tethering for his laptops and tablets. From experience I know that my work was able to get unlimited data for our hotspots, federal government. Any of you out there have any experience getting set up on a business account?

20gb a month will get you booted from most Verizon Business accounts. Mainly bc 20gb a month isnt pure business in the field, someones watching alot of porn on the road. The 5gb "fair use" clause is still in-effect on all USA data plans. Please google the fair use clause within your contract you might be shocked to read what its all about.

Not sure if this is true. The IT guy at work uses 10 on average with our companies Verizon plan... Sometimes more depending on how much he streams.

Read the "fair use" clause and you will fully understand what I am talking about. It is not a black or white, yes or no, on or off type of thing. Verizon and all the other carriers pay for each gigabit and as soon as they are paying more for your data than you are paying them. You will have a problem. If over one quarter the people that didnt use their data offsets the people that went over theirs your not gunna see them trying to change anything since customer relation are more important as long as they are not losing shareholders interests.

Can't speak for the business plans, but I have used 20gb in a few hours and no complaints from Verizon.

I agree with this one. I have used 35 GB without a problem. I know of several other people that regularly use over 20gb.

You're being very technical. Yes any network has fair use clauses... All..

In the real world they usually won't say anything unless you're just being ridiculous. 20 GB now a days in a month is not that ridiculous.. It's easy to do. Very easy..

Comcast has a fair use clause... My buddy used 1 TB 2 months in a row... Never heard a peep. On T-Mobile I guarantee there is a fair use clause... I average 30 GB a month.. Peaking at 55 GB one month... Not a peep.

Friends on Verizon who have unlimited stream 10-15 GB a month.. Nothing.

So It is within the clause I give you that.. But you would probably have to use an absolute absurd amount for them to get mad... Not 20 GB .

I believe the point that the OP was setting up someone on a business account with Verizon. If this is so why are unlimited accounts even being brought up. There are no unlimited business accounts so if someone was able to use 20gb in a month on a 5gb business account they would get booted or at the very least billed for it. I don't think it would go over without a peep.

And... My dude in IT got on the Verizon unlimited plan via the business and averages 10 or more GB a month without a peep.

Also it's not a 5 GB business account as the OP said unlimited just like our business. As I said the clause may say fair use but.... Most carriers (like Verizon) won't say anything unless it's a crazy excess. So yeah their are unlimited business accounts...

You can not setup an unlimited account of any type with Verizon anymore so if hes setting it up now it is not an option. The 5gb was just a random example the fact is there isn't even a 5gb increment it goes from 4gb to 6gb anyway. But clearly your knowledge of the subject is expired where new customers are concerned.

Expired? Sure for consumers.... but he is talking about adding himself to a business line where he will get unlimited data from the business. That is what my IT guy did. He added a line to the business and they allowed unlimited data to be added.. He wouldn't of done it if they didn't give him that. He would of joined T-Mobile but he found he could do that... So of course he went that way.. Coverage and unlimited data...

Same with the OP... He is going to add to a business line and get unlimited. It's different than a new consumer signing up... So seems your information on this is way more dated since you're talking from guessing and not from experience.... You're also talking about new customers when this guy is talking about adding a line to an existing plan.
