Any Good Free Address Books or Contact Managers?

Having come from the IPhone I am used to the way that it handles addresses and contacts. Say what you will about Apple, they do know how to make an easy user interface.

The Address/People app on my EVO running FROYO is lacking. It takes a lot more steps to find a contact and when you do the address is usually truncated.

Is there a decent Address Book or Contact Manager for Android that I can use instead?

I'm subscribing to this thread since I agree with everything you've written.

I've been searching for a replacement email and contact manager to no avail. there are some piecemeal solutions (touchdown, k-9 for email, youlu for contacts) but nothing seems to be on par with iOS.

Check out my app komodo contacts. It's still in beta but i find it much better than the apps that come with the phone whether it be sense or motoblur or whatever.

Try Improved Email. So far it has been pretty good for me as an email appear. Just note that it will show up as Mail in your appear section.
