Any Good Golf Apps?

Title says it all. I have the GW3 and like it, but there are no good golf apps in the Samsung Store. Too expensive and/or buggy. Wondering if there's anything decent in WearOS. That would make me seriously consider upgrading. All I'm looking for is one that will show basic distances to the front/middle/back of the green on the watch.

TIA.

I use Golf Pad. It was one of the few that had a companion watch app on Tizen. It's not bad, the paid version is $20/year. I have not tried it on the 4 yet, will have a chance tomorrow when I play.

Please post your thoughts about it on the GW4. Is it still $20/year for wearos version?

GolfPadGPS ftw. I’ve been using it since original Gear watch. Works on GW4 as well as on Tizen watches. Tried several other golf apps on the watches and found GolfPad to be the easiest, most comprehensive, least intrusive to your game of them all. The yearly subscription is worth it imho.
You can try the app on your phone first (free) to see if you like it.

The app is for the phone but has support for WearOS and Tizen watches. Having used it with my AW2 it was flawless everything worked great. Today with the GW4 it was an absolute train wreck.
First, it always has to be connected to the phone, no standalone mode, Samsung watches can be connected or stand alone.
Second, several times the watch app just stopped working and when I started it up again it told me to start a new round from the phone app.
Third, several times it would tell me no GPS signal.
Fourth, even when connected it was slow to update yardage. I turned it off after 5 holes, it was that bad.
The only positive thing I can say is that for the short time I did have it running it did not drain the watch battery.

So disappointed because the watch app on Tizen just worked great. I'll see if there is an update or contact the developer about the WearOS issue.

I used golfpad years ago on the original GW. Worked well for me originally. You did need your phone to locate the course from their database, but once found it worked standalone on the watch. There was a free basic version that just gave distances to front/back/middle of the green which was enough for me. Then they had a big update that absolutely killed the battery life (went from 8-10 hours while golfing to barely 5 hours) and changed it to subscription only. Worst thing about that was the difficulty that some had, based on reviews, transferring the account to a new watch.

So what I'm looking for is a basic gps app that will give the distances to the green, does not kill the battery in one round, and can be purchased outright at a decent price. No yearly subscriptions..
