Any harm in using CCleaner?

From what we know about RAM cleaning apps that they cause more harm than good because now the RAM is cleared, then when you request to open an app the phone has to work harder to reopen it again and load everything in back which actually maye decrease the battery life or cause slowness.

Now what about CCleaner? is it safe to use or do you think there's no need for it on a phone?

I think it has a certain amount of usefulness, because killing apps isn't the only feature of CCleaner. I use it for cleaning cache, for example

CCleaner probably won't really hurt anything, but there's actually little need for it. However, their privacy statement is pretty troubling and I would avoid CCleaner if or no other reason than that.

Oh, if you install/uninstall a lot of stuff you might run a cleaner app once or twice a year. I never use cleaner apps except on my test phone which sees a LOT of installing/uninstalling. I run SD Maid, which IMHO is the best cleaner app available, I run SD maid once or twice a year on that phone. Other phones I don't bother.

c4n j00 elaborate more on that privacy statement please? I thought CCleaner was like one of the only free / good tools these days that is clean?

CCleaner for Android requires access to certain personal information on your Android device to provide appropriate functionality.

It's a friggin' cleaner app. Why would it need access to personal information to provide cleaner functionality?
