Usually when there's an update there's a brief description or summary of what the update is even if it's just a security patch this time it updated with no indication at all but this version is about any ideas?

Per xda-developers AT&T December security patch. Also says Samsung Experience 8.1. Don't know if that's new as I have the unlocked model.

I'm on Verizon as well. We're on the December security update now. I've also noticed that my USB PD chargers now say fast charging the whole time it's charging instead of just when I first plug it in. The charging times were only a few minutes off from the adaptive fast charging charger that comes with the phone before the update, but it's a change regardless.

This firmware has version number PDA G955USQS2BQL1 and CSC G955UOYN2BQL1. The operating system of this firmware is Android 7.0, with build date Tue, 05 Dec 2017 08:10:38 +0000. Security patch date is 2017-12-01, with changelist 12523989

I'm on December Patch with my US unlocked S8+ and I've had it reboot on me 3 times, while performing simple tasks...so it's brought that LoL. Probably an isolated thing though

Even Google wouldn't help, and that's a first.
No release notes, tech doc, zilch. Like it doesn't exist!

My point was that anytime in the past when there was an update There Was an explanation along with links to learn more this just installed the update and that was it nothing else

Oh I see. Got mine through the Samsung Oreo Beta so a different experience.
