I see there haven't been a whole lot of posts in our forum. Has anybody had any new problems or glitches with the new maintenance update? Any rumors on Froyo? Any new apps or games that work great on the Slide? ANYTHING PEOPLE!!!

What do you think about the myTouch HD leak? Real? Fake? Comment...

I haven't had any problems with mine.

There's been no word on an official Froyo release but there's some Froyo ROMs available. Cyanogen Mod 6 RC1 was released yesterday.

As for games, I've been playing the NES, SNES, and Gameboy Advance emulators. Other games include Jewels, Bonsai Blast, and Raging Thunder 2 (has online multiplayer racing).

If I root my phone is there alot of different ROMs for a Froyo build or is it just one kind? Im new to rooting, VERY new so I dont know much... Also, I want to root my phone but if I do will it void my warranty? Is there a way to hide that I rooted it in case I ever have to return my phone? And I just got Homerun Battle 3D and its pretty awesome!

I think the mytouch hd is reak tmonews said that source got hands on, and told them it has ffc, expresso sense ui, the screen is noticabely bigger than the n1 but not 4.3 inches all I know if its in white I'm getting it, I had the mytouch 3g in white now the slide in white. Also I had a problem but already got mine replaced 3-4 days ago, sometimes the screen would of just blacked out, and the phone rebooted this still happends with the new one.

Sim reset issues

My wife and I both got the Mytouch Slide. After the most recent update in August, we have both been having constant issues where when someone calls , 2-3 seconds after answering the call, the call drops and I have to enter my SIM PIN (as if the phone rebooted). The 'call' buttons then are disabled (ie don't respond) for a period afterwards. Sometimes the previous attempts to call then engage 10-15 minutes later.

I haven't been able to find any other reports of this on forums etc so not sure if it's soley related to the fact that we got the phones from the same 'batch'.

I am having a similar issue with my mytouch slide. Not all the time but very often, someone will call and the call will answer then drop. The phone will say something along the lines of "android process forced to close". Then when you try to call the person back right after the call drop the phone will say that it is in airplane mode. After about a minute the phone will reset its service to say that I have 3G and service bars then I can make and/or receive the call.

T-mobile tried a soft AND hard reset to my phone and then replaced it. With my new phone I encountered the same issues so I tried getting a new sim card hoping that would fix the issue. So now I have a new sim AND a new phone and STILL having problems. The only other thing I can think of is possible issues with some apps that I have installed. I've only re-installed a small amount of apps that I had on my first phone and after I found that I'm still having the issue, I looked at android marketplace comments on the apps I have installed and it doesn't seem like anyone else is having issues with the particular apps.

Any input?

same here

Can't say I've had any problems. Seems to be working good so far. It has been very responsive.

I have been having the same exact problems. Im on my 4th replacement in not even 2 months! Which is BS! I call almost every week and Tmobile seems to not wanna help. They are getting their money thats all they care about. Keep saying what can i do to help you well give me a diff phone for what i want not what u would give me talka bout not making your customers happy, well your not if you arent gonna help me withougt me having to pay monthly for this phone plus put down 300 to get another then pay for them both monthly cause you gave me a piece of crap phone well 4 piece of crap phones. They will not do anything to help you except send u the same phone over and over again.

what are all the issues with the phone? I have mine almost four months and my only complaint is the lack of froyo.

I had those things happen, the exact same things and did two exchanges. Eventually, after a long time at the store on the phone with t-mobile tech, they told me it wasn't anything I was doing, it was the device itself. They said my options were to replace again or get a motorola cliq or blackberry bold, both of which are considerably less than what I paid for the slide. I said I wanted my moneys worth, minimum, and if the alternative cost more, I would pay the difference. They reiterated my two choices of the bold or cliq. I asked if my next step was to file a complaint. They transferred me to android tech and they offered me a G2 for only an additional seventy. It was tough and a grueling process, but its nice to have a phone that finally works!

I started having trouble about a month ago with the dialer app force-closing about 75% of the time when I made a phone call. I had my sim card replaced this past weekend, and it seems better now. Other than that, I've been happy with the device. The battery life is awful if I'm somewhere with a bad signal, but that is what it is, as far as I'm concerned.

I've only had my slide for a few days now and the major down side aside from the battery life is dropped calls. I rarely dropped a call with my blackberry but on this slide I've dropped quite a few calls. I hate that :(

Anyone having issues like that just make sure and go into Settings>SD & Phone Storage and make sure you have at least 30mb of Internal Phone Storage. If you don't, back up, go into Applications>Manage Applications, and go through and first clear the cache of any apps that seem larger than they should be (the internet browser is a huge resource thief, clear its cache constantly) and then if you still are below 30mb then you'll need to sacrifice a few apps to get there. Also, make sure you're deleting your text messages on a monthly basis, it can't handle thousands of messages being stored up on it, it just can't. Other than that, I'm out of suggestions :(

On my phone it has both Facebook and it says Facebook for My Touch... iwhat is the difference?
